Panorama view from Navaho Peak

The vegetation on the Eastern side of the Cascades is very different from the Westen counterpart. While there, close to the Pacific, a very dense forest exists, the East seems to be very dry with a completely different flora.

Our first camping trip in this region led us up to Navaho Peak, an easy-to-reach 7000 foot mountain just south of the famous Enchantments/Stuart Range.

On the right of this panorama you can see the Stuart range, on the left the two volcanos Mount Rainier (bigger) and Mount Adams.

A vast region to explore!
