Tom Browning Jersey

This Jersey was worn by Cincinnati Reds pitcher Tom Browning on one special night.

On Sep 16, 1988, Tom Browning took the mound facing the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was a rainy night and the Reds had to sit through a rain delay, so the game almost never happened. Tom Browning would throw 100 pitches in that game but never gave up a hit or a walk. He never even gave up more then 2 balls on any batter. After the last pitch was called a strike, Browning pumped his fist and was mobbed by his teammates at the pitcher mound. Browning had just pitched the 11th prefect game in Major League Baseball history.

This game worn jersey and a scorecard from that game are now on display at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Oh.
