Crosley Field Third Base
Crosley Field was the 5th baseball stadium used by the Cincinnati Reds. Out of 7 baseball stadiums used by the Reds, it was the longest tenured stadium being used from 1912-1970. It was torn down when Riverfront Stadium was built and opened for the 1971 baseball season. On June 24, 1970, the Reds played their last game in Crosley Stadium versus the San Francisco Giants. The Reds won 5-4. After the game, all the bases were removed and sold in charities except Home Plate which was used in the new Riverfront Stadium. This base right here was the third base used for many years at Crosley Field including that last game. It is now located in the Reds Hall of Fame in Cincinnati, Oh.
