George Morgan
George Morgan was a country music singer for 30 years. He had many hits including Candy Kisses which was number 1 on the Billboard list for 3 weeks. He would be the last singer to perform in the Ryman Auditorium when the Grand Ole Opry was there, and a few weeks later, he would be the first singer to perform on the new Grand Ole Opry stage. He would become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He is also the father of Country Music star Lorrie Morgan. Her husband, country music star Keith Whitley is buried behind George Morgans grave. Lorrie's name is on the monument next to Keith and she will be buried here when she passes away. George Morgan is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison, Tn.
