Cincinnati Gardens

The Cincinnati Gardens is an arena located in Cincinnati, Oh. It has been open since 1949. It has been home to many teams over the years. It was home to the Xavier Musketeers NCAA basketball team from 1949 to 1979 and 1983 to 2000 until the Cintas Center was completed. It was home to the Cincinnati Bearcats NCAA team from 1949 to 1954 and 1987 to 1989 until Fifth Third Arena was open. Its most popular team, however, were the Cincinnati Royals of the NBA from 1957 to 1972. The Cincinnati Royals are no longer in existence. They would move to Kansas City and end up relocating to Sacramento where they would change their name to the Sacramento Kings. It is also a hockey venue being home to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks from 1997 to 2005. They are the minor league hockey team for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. It is now mostly used for high school hockey events. There are also concerts and truck shows there.
