Christopher Gadsden

He was a patriot for the United States in the Revolutionary War. One of the leading patriots in South Carolina, he designed the yellow flag with a snake on it that said, Don't Tread on Me. This would become the United States war cry throughout the war. He also signed the Association. He is buried at St Philips Churchyard in Charleston, SC.
