Grave of a signer of the Declaration of Independence from Georgia. He was also the 4th Governor of Georgia. He was shot and killed in a duel with Lachlen McIntosh. He was suppose to be buried underneath the signers monument in Augusta, Ga with the other 2 Georgia signers but his grave was lost. It was later discovered at Colonial Park Cemetery in Savannah, Ga and the state decided to leave it there.
