Two test shots with the Sigma 30/1.4 @ ƒ/3.2, 1/40th @ ISO 320. Camera was set to AF-S + focus priority mode. On the left is the photo I shot with the autofocus. On the right is the one where I corrected the manual focus. Top is a 25% crop, bottom is a 100% crop. The red brackets indicate the camera's focus point.
The lens indicates a distance from camera to subject of 2.43m, DOFMaster's DoF calculator indicates a total in focus area of 0.85m (or about 2 3/4 feet). Oops.
