Sunbeam motorcycles had a great reputation for superb design, excellent workmanship and finish. This included outstanding racing models.

Sunbeam were bought by Associated Motorcycle Ltd in 1937, then in the early part of WWII it was sold to the BSA Group.

The prefix "A" was to denote A.M.C.
