Asti, Palazzo Mazzetti
From the last quarter of the seventeenth century, Count Giovanni Battista began the work of merging the medieval buildings of the block of Corso Alfieri and the construction of new buildings.
In the years 1751-1752, architect Benedetto Alfieri designed the construction of the eastern wing and the reconstruction of the facade. An undisputed residence of prestige, the palace hosted personalities such as James Stuart (1717), the King of Sardinia Carlo Emanuele III (1727) and Napoleon I (1805) over the centuries.
