Footers

I have to admit that this challenge had me stymied. It's not that I'm not thankful fro anything, but my mind drew a total blank when it came to ideas for a way to show it creatively. I was going to take a picture of my family gathering, but was unable to make the long round trip to to health issues. ( I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the energy just wasn't there this week.) This doesn't look like much, but it is part of the footers for my future house. They broke ground this week and I am so excited! And I am so thankful that my late husband left me with the means to be able to build and move into a home that will be easy to take care of and meet my needs as I grow older. I am presently in a big house on 11 plus acres, and it is way too much for me to take care of. The new house will be just the right size for me and it's one of those "minimal" maintenance" communities where they do the lawn care and snow removal. Just perfect for an "empty nester."

 

This is the square is where my covered patio is going to be. :-)
