Stopping Distance

This is a calculator for stopping distances of cars. This distance is composed of two parts: distance traveled during the reaction delay of the driver and the distance traveled while the driver is braking. These distances are compared on a pie chart in order to observe how important is the time passes from the braking decision until the driver brakes. One of the most important outer factors of this distance is the condition of the road. This calculator generally classifies the condition of the road as wet and dry. Effect of the road condition is compared on a stopping distance - speed chart. SpreadsheetWEB version of the template allows to use the calculator online.
