Marsh Rabbit (Sylvilagus palustris), 7/2/2022, The Landings Sparrow Field, Skidaway Island, Savannah, Ga.
The marsh rabbit is a small cottontail rabbit found in marshes and swamps of coastal regions of the eastern and southern areas of the Southern United States.
It is similar to the eastern cottontail but is characterized by smaller ears, legs, and tails.
This morning there were six present when I arrived at the field!
