Bay of Islands: Unstable weather . . .

This image is included in a gallery "Never Leave My Heart 2" curated by thanks 173rd Airborne.

The Bay of Islands Coastal Park is a 32 km long coastal reserve located on the Great Ocean Road between Peterborough and Warnambool.

The Bay of Islands Coastal Park is a testament to the geological forces that have shaped the landscape over millions of years. The park's limestone formations are a result of the erosion of ancient seabeds by the Southern Ocean, creating a landscape that is both stunning and unique. The park's geological story is a reflection of the region's history, with the limestone pillars changing color throughout the day due to varying light conditions. This natural phenomenon is a visual reminder of the park's geological past and the ongoing transformation of the coastline.

If conditions are right, at sunrise and sunset, brilliant reds and glistening yellows of limestone stacks may daub the rocky outcrops and sea-mist.

This was taken on a Summer's morning with unstable weather. The water was calm and quiet. Enough light broke through thick clouds and produced spot-light effects on some of the limestone stack cliff faces.
