Amphitheatre Falls : Spring morning . . .

This image is included in a gallery "Our Wonderful World - Unsere Wunderbare Welt - Nuestro Mundo # 3" curate by Rita Rojas.

The second of two waterfalls in the Toorongo Falls Reserve, the Amphitheatre Falls earns its name from its location in a tranquil, natural amphitheatre. They are located in the Toorongo Falls Reserve close to Noojee and are two of the most beautiful waterfalls about 95 km from Melbourne. Amphitheatre Falls flow well throughout the year due to its large catchment and location in a high rainfall area (Travis Easton).

It has an overall height of 7.7m and a highest single drop of 5.7m. This was taken on an overcast spring morning, which facilitated the use of slow shutter speed to better present the veil-like appearance of the waterfalls.
