西海峰林, 位於索溪峪景區的西部。為一盆地型峽谷峰林群，千姿百態，林木蔥蘢茂密，有“峰海”、“林海”之稱。春夏或秋初雨後初晴，則云如浪濤，或湧或翻，或奔或瀉，鋪天蓋地，極為壯觀，譽為“雲海”。三“海”合一即為西海之特色。
