Rice Paper : In flight . . .
This was taken at the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Parks near the Niagara Falls in Canada. It is also known as large tree nymph. A member of the Danaidae family, the Rice Paper is related to the well known Monarch. Numerous names and folklore tales were inspired by the graceful ghost-like flight of this butterfly throughout the canopy of coastal mangrove swamps in South East Asia.
