October is breast cancer awareness month. Make a photo of something pink to support the cause.
It's not very often that a Daily Shoot assignment subject drives right up and shouts out, "Here I am! Take my picture!" But today... that happened!
I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I looked out my office window and saw this hot pink car in the parking lot! I had been thinking about today's Daily Shoot assignment and had tentatively planned to photograph my sneakers, which are a special Breast Cancer Awareness edition, with a pink Reebok logo and pink soles.
But... I couldn't resist going out to the parking lot to check out the hot pink car. I didn't care why it was that color... I was going to get some photos of it for today's assignment!
Much to my surprise, when I got up close, I realized that it is also a special edition, Breast Cancer Awareness model! Kerrygold is a brand name created by the Irish Dairy Board. Small dairy farms throughout Ireland sell their butter and cheese under the Kerrygold brand name. There is a food distributor here in the office park, so the Kerrygold rep must have been paying a visit today, it the official Breast Cancer Awareness company car!
