Launch of Debt Exchange Jan 14 2010
Prime Minister Bruce Golding consults with (l-r) Financial Secretary, Wesley Hughes and Finance Minister Audley Shaw at the launching of the Jamaica Debt Exchange initiative at the Bank of Jamaica auditorium this morning. The Jamaica Debt exchange is a new debt management initiative which involves the voluntary exchange of existing bonds (excluding treasury bills) issued by the Government of Jamaica in the domestic market for new bonds of the same principal value but which have lower interest cost and longer maturities.
