Brier Island Lighthouse, Please help save our Lighthouses

This is the Brier Island Lighthouse, it stands on the westernmost point of Nova Scotia!! Often shrouded in fog, it marks the official spot where the Bay of Fundy begins!! You can enjoy beautiful sunsets and whale watching here!! This Lighthouse is on a Government Surplus list, it will certainly meet it's demise if a petition of at least 25 people is not made to the Government to list it as a Heritage designation that can have funding to help communities with the cost of upkeep! If you are a Canadian Citizen, please take the time to sign a petition on Facebook, or go to the Canadian Heritage page or the Canadian Lighthouse Society web site , they are part of our Maritime history and it is important that they are saved for the future generations!! The deadline is fast approcjing on May 29, 2012!!
