Illinois Railway @ Former Testors Paint Factory Building 620 Buckbee Street Rockford IL
The IR train is working the Behr scrapyard behind the former Testors paint and glue-favorites with modelers-building in Rockford which is now empty and vandalized.
The IR train is on the CN Freeport Subdivision which it uses to cross the Rock River and to switch Behr since the former CB&Q line was severed in 2012 and the diamond removed. The former CB&Q line remnant is used by IR to access Behr and by Behr's own in-plant switcher.
Testors was serviced at one time by the Illinois Central off the West Belt which joined the mainline where the IR train sits in the picture. The building hosted a seed company prior to Testors. Testors is now owned by Rustoleum and production continues across the street in a newer plant but it is truck served.
