This track is the easternmost remnant of the former industrial joint CB&Q/IC "Angle Worm" line that used to weave between factory buildings in this area, connecting to the IC at 11th Street and both the IC and CB&Q near Seminary Street.
The Behr scrapyard operates the westernmost segment of the former Angle Worm track as part of their private trackage for shuttling hoppers back and forth.
This track shown in the pictures is now part of the Benson Stone parking lot. If in Rockford check out its Hearthrock Cafe and gift shop in the former furniture factory.
