NS local train is paused heading westbound in Champaign waiting for the red light to change to green to proceed over the CN diamond in the distance in this view. It's returning with several empty covered hoppers it retrieved from the Dart (Solo Cup) plant in Urbana.
NS uses a combination of former Peoria & Eastern (Big Four, Conrail) and Wabash trackage to reach the Dart factory in Urbana to the east. NS also services the Emulsicoat plant in Urbana on the former P&E.
