Two Bridges(1)

Busseau sur Creuse, 23 France. Taken in between rain storms, on a very cold & wet first week in May. Not the first picture I've posted of this structure, but worth a second look! Opened to traffic in 1863, this steel girder viaduct carries the line from the junction at Saint Sulpice Laurière to Montluçon, and onwards, across the Massif Central towards Lyon. Built by the Paris Orleans Railway, the total span is 339m (1,112ft), and the height above the river Creuse is 56.5m (185ft). Often incorrectly attributed to Gustave Eiffel, it was, in fact, designed by Wilhelm Nördling. Taken for International Commie Camera Days 2013, with a 1970's Chinese made folding camera
