Zoomed In on a Dream π·
Hello my Flickr friends!
After taking few months off to work on my new photography website, I am back and I hope you missed me. π It was a dream of mine for some years now to create my own website and it is finally here. I considered various website hosting options, but at the end decided to give it a try and code and design everything myself. It was a steep learning curve and took few months, but I would not have done it any other way. One day I will write a little more details on what went into building a website from scratch by a complete newbie and how I created one for free. Well, except for the purchase of a domain name. Regarding that, dianarozenshteynphotography.com sounded like something no one will remember if I tell them or even know how to spell, so I came up with sandiegoinbloom.com.
Considering my primary interest is flower and plant photography here in San Diego, the name seems perfect and surprisingly not taken by anyone.
Please, take a look and tell me what you think.
I started a blog on my website, two posts so far there, where I will write about my outings with my camera and post a bit more images than I can ever do on Flickr.
I also have a new Instagram account just for my photography and it is also called sandiegoinbloom:
www.instagram.com/sandiegoinbloom/
About today's image, I finally got myself a new telephoto lens. I decided that 300mm will be enough for me for my photography interests. Price and the lens weight was also strongly considered. I really do not see myself carrying a really heavy bulky lens on my walks and hikes. I took the lens out few times already and I like it so far!
I made a blog post about this particular outing to the local lake on my website and it has more images that were taken with this lens:
