Shooting Stars ✨

Padre's Shooting Stars are some of the very first wildflowers that start to bloom around San Diego's Mission Trail Regional Park. Some years I noticed them as early as late in January. Yesterday I noticed them for the first time this year. They are very tiny, maybe the bloom itself 1-1.5 cm long, and delicate. Colors range from white to this pale lavender. The sun was truly blinding yesterday and in the spot where the flowers were it was not possible to get some shade or perfect light, but that is life :-) I am pretty happy with how Industar61 handled this shot. Also, the star bokeh seems to fit well with the shape of the bloom. In the past I have always had trouble with taking satisfactory images of this plant.
