Vintage Orchid 💮
I have been organizing photos on the Google Drive for months now. I had some albums before, but took it to the next level last September when I started sorting everything into more specific albums, based on lens used or flower type, for example. It is a very slow process as some of the older images of flowers I took go back to 2003. However, it is totally paying off as it is much easier now to find pictures I am thinking of. Moreover, I unearthed some gems I did not even remember I had like this orchid image. It was taken at the Orchid Showcase organized by the San Diego Orchid Society. It was truly a feast for the eyes. However, it was held in the windowless hall and the lighting was atrocious, hence the ISO of 3200. I took lots of pictures, but most of them were just for memory and not to be shared as the noise level in the pictures was high. However, looking now at this image I feel that in this particular case the high ISO caused noise has actually been a plus and resulted in an image that looks like a vintage illustration, botanical print or a postcard.
