Indian Baraat Ceremony
Here's a photo I took at an Indian Baraat Ceremony in Austin, Texas.
A Baraat is an Indian Hindu wedding. The ceremony starts with the groom arriving on either a horse or an elephant. A horse is being used here since it's hard to rent an elephant in Texas, but easy to rent a horse.
By the way, the attractive young woman leading the horse is NOT the bride, but just the owner of the horse.
The Percheron incidentally is moonlighting from it's regular job as a carriage horse in downtown Austin.
