NIGHT OF NETS - MLSWORKS
I shoot for the Men and Women Soccer teams at Cornerstone University - a local university. A few years ago, One of the Assistant coaches became involved with World Vision's Night of Nets. It was caught on like wildfire in the West Michigan Area with High School teams and other local colleges and other sports. Major League Soccer (MLS) has the MLS WORKS campaign and Night of Nets was nominated and selected by the Chicago Fire to be the charity the Fire represents! How cool is that! The winner gets a $10,000 donation to their charity but we need help getting the votes to win! If you feel so compelled to help us out here are the details:
CU's Night of Nets has been selected as the 2014 Major League Soccer (MLS) WORKS Community MVP! Every year, MLS looks for community initiatives that use soccer as a tool to make a difference. What an honor!
NoN is a global campaign to help end malaria. Campuses and athletes come together to raise money through athletic events to provide protection and aid for people across the globe impacted by this health epidemic. Being nominated by MLS means that CU’s beloved project is up against nominees from each market around the U.S. in an online voting contest to be the next Grand Prize Winner - SERIOUSLY COOL.
We want Night of Nets to be recognized at the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star game. The winner receives a donation of $10,000! Voting takes place starting TODAY at 11am through July 25. Vote! Spread the word! Help make a difference for so many families around the world.
The winner will be announced July 25 via the MLS Twitter account: @MLSWORKS. GO NIGHT OF NETS!!! #communitymvp
