Female Model With Short Blonde Hair

I replaced a dull off white background in this image with a graduated colour background which complements the subject. The process I used was to use the quick selection tool and the refine edge tool in Photoshop to remove the old background and replaced the background with a solid white layer and a graduated linear layer. It takes a rather uninteresting image and makes it pop!
