Waves and Waterfalls

Journal prompt: Waves and waterfalls.

Poem 'Waterfall' by Alison Jae.

Hand painted background. Slice: fish and sea weed, Tim holtz journal stamp, various papers, embossing and pens and acitate.

Photo of waves on St Ives coast. Sliced with wave cutter then turned on side like a waterfall for central section. Star brads. Bubbles and decoration embossed. I must say that the bubbles are more effective on the digi image here than on the actual page, V. pleased about me bubbles!

Waterfall

By Allison Jae, Nov 25, 2008

If every guy I ever dated were to read this he would think it was about him. Well, they would all be wrong. This is about me questioning the choices I've made in my life, and how I repeat the same old mistakes.

Waterfall

Under a wave of passion,

Into a sea of despair.

Have I made the wrong decision?

Have I the guts to change my mind?

Do I even dare?

Over and under,

Do I crawl...

Over and under,

The same old waterfall.

Under a slighted moon,

Night rules the air.

Into a maze of blooms,

I murder the maiden fair.

Outside, egos blare.

Still over and under,

Do I crawl...

Over and under

The same old waterfall.

Under a bridge at midnight

Did it all come tumbling down?

Was it a power unseen?

Washed into a desolate sea--

Never again to be found.

So I continue over and under

In this small place I crawl.

Over and under for all eternity

To drown in the same old waterfall
