I determined the soil to be a loam. The soil was collected near a ditch, so the soil was moist. There is grass and this large willow tree here. There is usually geese and ducks too. I think that the birds affect the soil qualities only by fertilizing it all the time. Sometimes turtles. There is often people over here with their dogs, relaxing in the shade of the willow tree. I don't think that the soil is likely to be eroded. I did tale the soil from a ditch, but the ditch is not very deep. You can see that in the picture. The slope of the ditch is not enough for erosion to occur. On a steeper part of the site, where water runs off from the road, some erosion occurs along the limestone path. There is a trench created, and the limestone is displaced towards the lake. This occurs on only one of the lake's four sides.
