Bodie Wagon-web

Shot on Kodak B/W infrared film through a Panagor 21mm lens with deep red #29 filter.

From the first time I threaded a roll of film into a camera, I knew that it would be a lifelong affair. I am still threading film into my cameras today. I am often driven to the deserts, plains and high mountains, especially ghost towns and old abandoned homesteads. As I explore and photograph these places, I am so curious as to what life was like back in their time. Most likely more difficult, however, a simpler way of life. I see the remnants of this "time forgotten" and wonder, who lived here, how did they make a living, were they happy? These questions are never answered for me. Maybe I am trying to answer them through my photographs? I don't know. But I will keep asking, looking and photographing this forgotten time.
