Lisa Lovingtree says: This shot is just the epitome of what I think of as storybook architecture. I love the absurd height, the wonderful texture of the shingles, wonderful decorative details along the roof lines, and the fat, solemn crosses. I also love the textured, old-fashioned processing of this image. It's fabulous!

Lisa Lovingtree says: I know it's only a small detail of the whole, but it is this small detail that tells the whole story. This brings to mind the witch's cottage in Hansel & Gretel, overflowing with sugar and meringue snow. And the light filtering through the frost-coated windows is perfect!

Lisa Lovingtree says: I love the close crop, the shallow dof and the crazy angles and colors. This is such a cool, patchwork of architecture. What a neat shot!

Lisa Lovingtree says: Val'simage of this beautiful architectural gem evokes a sense of being out of this world...like a palace of the gods, somewhere in the clouds. It has a very ethereal feeling that is very stirring, with that glorious sky surrounding it.

Lisa Lovingtree says: I love the heavy scale of the stone, the wooden door and the heavy (but graceful) ironwork. And the contrast of the black and white is just beautiful.

Lisa Lovingtree says: Everything about this image evokes a sense of the exotic and romantic. I especially love the two people and the way they seem unaware of the photographer, and the mist is just so lovely.
