Lisa Lovingtree says: Leroy Petry is the most recent recipient of the Medal of Honor. This amazing young man risked his own life to save his fellow soldiers during a battle in Afghanistan. His right hand was blown off when he picked up and threw away a live grenade that had been thrown at him and his fellow soldiers. I have not met Leroy Petry, but I hope to do so one day...because he is my 4th cousin, and because he is a true American hero!
