Christmas Bobcat
Wow, what a great Christmas surprise this was! This gorgeous female bobcat sauntered across the road in front of us, then stopped and glanced over her shoulder as if looking for something. We thought maybe she had a fresh kill nearby that she was reluctant to leave. We watched her for a minute or so, pacing back and forth nervously, which was odd (it would have been more normal for her to have streaked across the road and been gone in a flash.) The mystery was solved a minute later, when her nearly-grown cub suddenly bolted out of the weeds. Then they both WERE gone in a flash!
