A bridge made of ♥ and compassion

Khaider (third from left), 5 years of age and his brothers (in the frame) are left by their mother in the care of a home/shelter founded for children and adults with disablilities in Bukit Beruntung. The majority of the 45 residents of Kirtarsh suffer disorders such as paraplegia, down syndrome and autism. Being normal children, it is a wonder to see Khaider and his brothers happy and carefree like any other children and yet unlike other children, they live in a shelter among people who are very different in body and mind. Though amazingly, spend a day and observe the human interaction in Kirtarsh, you may discover that the residents, whether normal or with disablities, are essentially the same cheerful lot in the care of genuine compassionate people who are the founders of Kirtarsh. Perhaps love and compassion transcend differences of bodies and minds, religions and skin colours and make up the fundamental core that defines humanity.
