"The Hover"

I just got back from two great weeks in southern Ontario during Spring Migration: Point Pelee National Park and surrounding areas for 7 days and Long Point for 4 1/2. While the focus was birds of course I got to experience many wonderful sights of other wildlife and scenery too.

Here's my first image from my first full day at Point Pelee. I expect that many more to come over the next couple of weeks as I process my images.

This Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher was foraging along the edge of the east side beach at the "Tip" at Point Pelee. I was fortunately enough to catch it in mid-flight as it flitted from branch to branch.
