A poor purchase.
Sadly, my time with this thing is coming to an end abruptly. It just simply has far, far too many things wrong with it and has left me stranded a few times too many. I have now decided its fate and despite it not being what most people would want, this car is past its prime.
-Serious electrical issues, either ruined wiring or a faulty alternator.
-Suspension only rises at the front and sinks at the back as soon as the ignition is turned off.
-Various bits of broken trim, taped up steering cowl
-Many large dents
-Oil level now about as low as possible and it's oil cap (non original) has seemingly welded shut.
-Weeping diesel pump, meaning it stinks of diesel all the time
I just should never have bought it. As much as I hate to admit it, it's going for scrap.
I've since come across another, far nicer (and working) Xantia for a bargain price. I will pillage what I can off of this before it's hauled away.
