Rainbow Swastika Muslim 2002 by Anthony Padgett

ABSTRACT/FIGURATIVE TRANSIT

 

AutoCAD drawings, computer scanning of Padgett’s sculpture Apollo and my computer Islam sculpture were used to create a series on the swastika/rainbow theme. Padgett wanted to capture the transition between abstract, mystical design and meaningful, moral sculpture. These works are still fixed products, mixing Andy Warhol, Op Art and religion in a computer age. The images were displayed as 1m x 1m prints
