New(er) Paintings
by Richard Eric
A recent trip to Grass Valley for a bluegrass festival finished off with a couple of days with some pals, hanging around the Yuba River.
I also met their friends Barb and Phil Brown, who live above Nevada City. Phil is a very fine painter, whose main subject is the Yuba River.
Inspired, and after the festival week, wanting to quit drinking for a while, I decided to spend my evenings returning to egg tempera painting.
Here are a few days' work.
This first one is a postcard-sized painting.
It's a start. I haven't done it for a long while.
