The Grebe saga
Some of you probably remember my Grebe story I posted on June 21, 2011. I kept my eye on that nest since then.
It's a long story - there were two eggs, then there was none, then one egg, then none, then they were mating and laid one more egg.
Couple of days ago I made a quick stop at the park just to see how they were doing. The egg was still in the nest, but I didn't see the Grebes, so I decided to wait for them. An hour have passed, but there were no Grebes in sight.
Then this American Black Duck showed up and started binging on some aquatic plants, the Grebes filled the nest with... What a sad story! I can't believe they gave up.
