"Man, it's cold!"

I was watching a Kestrel enjoying his dinner on a tree across half-frozen stream, when suddenly I felt somebody's presence. You know the feeling if somebody is watching you. I looked down and saw this huge beaver! I forgot about the Kestrel for a moment and turned my attention to this creature, seeing him so close for the first time ever! After a minute or so, he slid into the water and I missed the Kestrel's take off. End of story :)
