Common Goldeneye female

There were a few Common Goldeneye males far away and then I found this female reasonably close to the shore. While I was looking for an opening in the bushes, she left. I don't know where these ducks grew up but they are very skittish around people. I never saw them so close! It was cold and windy, but I decided to wait. She came back, dove quickly and surfaced back with this shellfish in her bill, turned her back on me, ate it, looked at me and swam very fast to the open water.
