Our little army boy
Is coming home from B.F.P.O.
I've a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammy's hero.
Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier.
"What could he do?
Should have been a rock star."
But he didn't have the money for a guitar.
"What could he do?
Should have been a politician."
But he never had a proper education.
"What could he do?
Should have been a father."
But he never even made it to his twenties.
What a waste --
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of
Army dreamers.
Tears o'er a tin box.
Oh, Jesus Christ, he wasn't to know,
Like a chicken with a fox,
He couldn't win the war with ego.
Give the kid the pick of pips,
And give him all your stripes and ribbons.
Now he's sitting in his hole,
He might as well have buttons and bows.
Ooh, what a waste of all that
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers, oh...
Hi guys, i'm finally back this week to catch up with my themes as i have a few days off from tomorrow, and i will also be posting a few themes early as i will be away on holiday soon so don't want to fall behind again.
My interpretation for this week was how so many people talk about how they are fighting a holy war and following the rules of their "god" to justify their actions. I for one, and please i do not mean to offend anyone or they're beliefs, believe any death of innocent bystanders in the name of salvation is not a good thing. I think people should learn from the positive aspects of respecting everyone and they're own beliefs, and learn to live in peace instead of trying to blow each other up. I think that is the best outlook and i sincerely hope we see an end to all these wars and suffering soon.
P.S. i had to stitch eight pictures together to get his, what a pain, but it gave me the cinematic look i wanted. :)
