Network Chorley
In the rural surroundings of Chorley are the West Pennine moors with a number of small villages located in between the towns of Chorley, Horwich and Bolton. Part of the Network Chorley group of services were routed to serve these villages and services 3/3A were introduced partially replacing an old established service 312 operated by the erstwhile Ribble Motor Services between Chorley, Rivington and Horwich. However, as a result of the latest changes servivce 3 which served these rural areas has been withdrawn leaving these villages without a bus service. Optare Solo 47328 PX06FXY is seen here at the top of Babylon Lane at The Bay Horse Public House in the delightfully named village of Heath Charnock operating a return service 3A from Blackrod and Adlington to Chorley.
