Inspired by Tracey – Blocks and Flowers

This card was inspired by Tracey. I love how she often makes a patchwork background using strong colours, a mix of patterns, embossing and stitching.

 

The blocks here are either clear embossed or stamped with white ink. I didn’t have a strong coloured pink card so I used some hand dyed fabric for the pink panels. The large flowers are made up of two layers of embossed vellum. The petals are cut to the outer part of the flower centre and curled up slightly at the edges.
