Happy St Patrick's Day
I have to admit that even though I’m Irish, this is the first St Patrick’s Day card I’ve ever made. I don’t have a leprechaun, shamrock, rainbow, crock of gold or any other St Patrick’s Day stamps to my name, so I just tried to make something with what I have!
The shamrock is made with one of Shari’s heart templates from last month heroarts.com/blogs/club/files/2010/01/cut-it-out-hearts.pdf and a flourish from CL182. I messed around with distress inks (shabby shutters, broken china and antique linen), sponging, spritzing and stomping (pouncing - thanks Barb!) to get the look I wanted on the shamrock. Then I covered the shamrock with a layer of glossy accents. For the borders I used clear ep and distress inks with CL288. Just added some machine stitching and faux stitching. The font I used for the sentiment is fiolex girls.
