Riccarton Junction

Former station on the Waverley route between Edinburgh and Carlisle and a junction for the Border Counties line to Hexham. Closed with the Waverley in 1969, this once important station has been almost completely overtaken by nature. This building housed the station’s generator and was restored by a preservation group in the early 2000s but seems unused now.
