Once the headquarters of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway, on its main line between Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth, but also served by branches to Norwich and Cromer. It closed to passengers with the entire network in 1959 and nothing of the actual station remains, but the engine shed is still in use as a warehouse.
